The ambulatory optimization has successfully wrapped up, and has been a tremendous success. Despite a relatively limited roll out, the team accomplished a lot, including:

  • 120 + Providers are actively using the new documentation method (called Dynamic Documentation)
  • As of September 13th, 8300 such notes have been generated across 11 specialties (these would have been dictated in the past)
  • On average, note turnaround time has improved by 50%.  In some specialties, the improvement is closer to 90% (avg. of 8 days before, 1 day after)

What will this mean for the Integrated EHR Project?

With the increased focus on standardizing processes in the EHR project, we believe this pilot demonstrates that direct documentation saves money, time, and also increases provider and patient satisfaction.
